Chicago’s Christkindlmarket opens this week! These temps feel like January, but really it’s only November and all of the best holiday events are coming up in the next several weeks! I love this time of year and I am so ready for toasted nuts and hot wine out of a boot.🎄

Oh, the weather outside is frightful. Moving south seems more and more delightful. Several months of #Chiberia to go — let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. ☃️🥶

I was asked to partake in a trunk or treat event at the end of the month. I’ve never been to a trunk or treat, but the competitive side of me already has my mind rolling on how to make my car the best stop on the candy route. 😌🎃👻 That’s my seasonal update for the day. Oh, and the trees is Chicago are lovelier than ever. We are deep in the depths of autumn around here and the only thing missing is a river of crisp apple cider flowing through the center of town. 🍎🍂🍁

This is a shot of the 2018 Chicago Marathon. After it was over, my cousin told me she intended to run Chicago’s 2019 Marathon. She worked hard and practiced for over a year to prepare. Yesterday I watched her complete the 26.2 miles for the 42nd Chicago Marathon. She ran the whole thing and did fantastic! • Not often, but occasionally, I have been asked who I look up to in life. It’s a question that visits every so often as a person grows up, and in the past I never had an answer. I just never aspired to follow in anyone’s footsteps. In the past several years though, I would say I look up to my cousin. Her name is Jenica. She is the type of person who works hard to attain her goals. Whether it be professionally, her family, personal goals like running — whatever she decides to do, she always works so hard in order to make it happen. She has shown me the importance of consistently investing in oneself in order to continuously grow into the best version of yourself. And I think that characteristic is something to be admired. • Congrats to all of this year’s Chicago Marathon participants! 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🎉🙌

It’s 44° and I am not ready for sandal weather to be over. Warm foods only until further notice. Wok fired shrimp and vegetables for 4SP. 🍤🌶🥦
