I’m about to become an Aunt and my sister had her baby shower this weekend. I picked up some classic items like a health kit and a box of diapers; but the adorable apparel and fun books for babies, of course, I couldn’t get enough. @twinkletwinklelittle1 is a baby boutique in Chicago and it is one of the most gorgeous stores I’ve ever seen. Their selection of books is so unique. I picked up hard cover books for babies about Rosa Parks and Marie Curie as well as You Have To Fu*king Eat (hilarious). The Johnny Cash tank top also came from their shop. I highly recommend checking them out. I will be shopping there time and time again in the future. I also wanted to give a shoutout to @target and @vineyardvines for having the cutest baby products that’ll help make my niece’s entrance into the world even more special. 🥰🎀 #broshisanaunt
My office is celebrating National Pizza Party Day at lunch. I took one piece and then ate the salad bowl I brought from home. Celebrating without the regret. ☺️🍕🥗

I was asked for some photos from Georgia and when I went looking for them, I found a ton of my travel photos in a private album on Facebook. This one was in there. It’s one of my favorites. 🇬🇪 • As I continue to tie up the loose ends on my Chicago chapter of life, I’ve been reflecting on happiness a lot. When I was younger, I always knew I wanted to live in Chicago. For as long as I can remember, it has been my favorite city. I’ve been here for almost three years now. The funny thing is, I’ve never been more unhappy in my adult life since moving here. I don’t blame the city because it wasn’t all based on location. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Life can be like a deck of cards — you flip over a card to reveal what’s going to happen next and sometimes you win, other times you lose. Since living in Chicago, it has felt like more of my cards have been tough outcomes than wins. I did, however, learn from all of it. And ultimately, that’s what matters to me most. • I find it strange that I feel so excited about traveling to countries where I don’t know anybody; but new people can be magical sometimes. They’re emotionally uninvolved in your life and can reveal wonderful sides about yourself that you never knew were there. • There’s a lot of “new” coming up in the next few months. New job. New country. New home. New people. New climate. New food. New language. New shopping. Essentially, the only thing that will be the same for me, is me. I’m really excited about the new though. I’m excited that all of these new things will slowly intertwine into the “old” me and allow me to grow into an even better version of myself. Cheers to that. 🌍
I was sending some of my old travel photos to a friend and came across this shot from my visit to Thailand in 2015. This was after spending the entire day boating on the river and visiting the floating flower market. My friends and I were walking to the sky train that would take us back to downtown Bangkok, and I was so amazed by all of these houses on stilts lining the river, I had to snap a photo. Thailand really is the best. 🇹🇭
Salad bowls are my favorite thing right now. I’m trying to have a majority of vegetables in all of my meals plus a protein. Salad bowls combine all of the delicious ingredients into one dish. Shrimp marinated in Trader Joe’s sweet chili sauce + spinach, avocado, black beans, bell pepper, and onion. 3SP for this salad on WW. 🥗🍤
Organic BBQ chicken over corn tortillas topped with grilled pineapple, onion, bell pepper, black beans, spinach, and avocado. Chicago feels like summer tonight and that means all grilled everything plus tacos. 5SP per taco on WW. 🌮
I love a good salad. 5SP for the whole Strawberry Poppyseed salad from Panera Bread. 🥬🍓🍍
Took some inspiration from @vancouversam for dinner last night. She always has really vibrant salad bowls and is an amazing inspiration for health. Everything on the plate is grilled, minus the spinach and avocado.🍤🥑🌽
