The Erawan Shrine housing a statue of Phra Phrom, the Thai representation of Brahma, the Hindu God of creation. Places of faith have always fascinated me and this is one of my favorite spots in Bangkok. 🇹🇭

I bought a new travel journal and I’m creating a list of destinations and locations I want to see around the world. Some are domestic (the Haunted Magnolia Hotel in Texas) and others are abroad (Pompeii, Italy). So when can I officially be called a traveler? ☺️✈️🌍

My cousins are visiting from Arizona and that means sparklers, beach, zoo, mini-golf, drive-in theater, and tons of fun outside. 💥🎀

I move out of my apartment in three months. This year has flown by and I can hardly believe it! I’m kind of sad to leave my first tiny home in Chicago; but all of the cool stuff that is yet to come makes it worth it. ☺️🙌🇬🇪

It’s finally starting to feel like summer. This was last night when it was 81°. Today the high is 84°. Hopefully this nice weather and these temps stick around for a while!🌞

Not the prettiest, but that’s okay.👌 Vegetable quesadilla with Greek yogurt lite sour cream and avocado slices on the side. 8SP for all of it. 🍅🥬🌶🥒🥑

Someone on #wwconnect nominated me for the #100daysaladchallenge where I eat a salad at least once a day for a meal or part of a meal. Considering I’m gonna be moving out of the country before that 100 days is up, I can’t promise that I’ll be able to document eating 100 days worth of salads. (Honestly, I don’t always like the salads in other countries either.) But here’s a salad I made for dinner tonight. Only 8SP for this whole thing. ☺️🥗

Spicy shrimp and vegetables for a late lunch/early dinner. 4SP for all of this because of the sauce. Shrimp and vegetables are 0SP. Enjoying this lazy Sunday and watching Mrs. Doubtfire. Going to get some steps in at the beach later before this weekend wraps! 🌞🍤🥦🌽🥕

If you follow me on the Connect, you probably remember my South Carolina friend, Danielle! We are using June as a month to regroup and get back on track. The start of a new month always feels like the perfect opportunity for a strong start. So here we are. 🙌 Weight loss is a learning experience. When I first started, I didn’t know what I needed to do to be successful. I thought all I had to do was eat “healthy” foods, but it’s so much more than that. Portion control is ultimately what matters most and really understanding what you’re eating. Here’s a salad. It’s a Mesclun mix topped with apple slices, candies walnuts, crumbled Gorgonzola cheese, dried cranberries, and sweet vinaigrette dressing on the side. The Italian cafe in my building was closing and giving away the last of their products at the end of the morning, so I picked this salad. It turns out to be 17SP because of all of the toppings. High points for a salad, right? 🥗 My point is this: it takes knowledge to make real change. It also takes the will to never give up. So cheers to June and hopefully laying a foundation of healthy choices that’ll remain strong for the months to follow. 🎉
